Bike Path: This Guy

Sadly, my front tire is completely flat…again. That didn’t stop me from strolling down our block to Balboa Park over the weekend. I came across this guy. I think the reason he let me get so close was that in his direct  path was a family with a formidable looking pug and I think he took his chances with me.  I’m not as intimidating as I think I am.

Bike Path: Valley of The Horses

I had to take a small break from riding my bike to work. Until recently it was way too freaking hot and humid…..it still is actually. I’m just powering through it and pretending it’s fall already.

It’s interesting when you come across traces of the Valley’s history. I think there are a lot of people living in the Valley who are clueless to it’s history and would be surprised to see this sign and/or horses being trotted down Corbin Ave in the middle of the Valley. When my high school, over on Mulholland, opened in 1960 there were still some students that rode horses to school.
